Club Sandwich Korfball
Beach Tournament 2001
In August 2001 Sandwich held their 2nd Annual Beach Korfball Tournament. This year the venue was the more suitable Margate Main Sands, and the field had doubled from last year to 10 teams.
The sun stayed out all day, a fine selection of tacky souvenirs were purchased, some spectacular sandcastles were built, and some very knackering korfball was played.
The final results were
Tournament winners : Raiders 1
Runners Up : Vodka
Shooting Contest winner : Vikki (Club Sandwich)
Sandcastle contest winners : The Usual Suspects (Sandwich) - design by Jenny!
Tacky souvenir winners : Natural Born Killers (Sandwich)
Special thanks go to the St Johns Ambulance team for judging the souvenir and sandcastle competitions and thanks to all those who turned up to watch and ended up having a go!
